What charges should be reviewed on a half-hourly electricity supply?
The relevant charges vary by site, region, supplier and contract structure.
A review may include the unit rate, standing charge, agreed-capacity or excess-capacity charges, Distribution Use of System charges, Transmission Network Use of System charges, Climate Change Levy, metering charges and other non-commodity or pass-through costs.

What is half-hourly electricity data?
Half-hourly data is the electricity consumption recorded for every 30-minute period. A Half-Hourly Data Collector retrieves, validates and processes this information, allowing the supply and its demand pattern to be reviewed in much greater detail.
Why does kVA capacity matter?
kVA is the agreed electrical capacity available to the site. Capacity can affect network and standing charges, so a level that is materially higher than the business requires may add unnecessary cost, while insufficient capacity can create excess-capacity charges.
What are MOP, DC and DA contracts?
The Meter Operator is responsible for specified metering equipment services. The Data Collector retrieves and validates half-hourly data, while the Data Aggregator combines validated data for electricity-market settlement. These services may be included within a supplier arrangement or contracted separately.
